Whether he’s giving a webcast, blogging, speaking, or coaching, Stephen is a teacher in everything he does.
Stephen began his career in Ankara, Turkey, helping Bilkent University students improve their academic English. Then, as director of studies for Bell Educational Trust, he designed and delivered courses for university graduates of the European Business School.
After a long career in international book publishing, marketing and sales, Stephen discovered that he Internet had created a specialist niche for him, in which he could publish apps to help people improve aspects of their health and fitness all over the world, with international reach with the help of a strategic content marketing plan.
From these first steps in digital, Stephen went on to get qualified in digital media management with CIM/CAM where he honed his unique skill set in audience insights, customer journey mapping, design, SEO, content and social media marketing.
Stephen is someone who truly understands the power of content to attract, engage and convert audiences from a strategic and lead-generative perspective.
Stephen does not see content marketing as a means to make yet more noise, but as “doing something worth talking about.”

After graduating with honours in French Language and Literature from University College London, Stephen completed his Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Marketing (DipM CIM), then enjoyed a long and successful career in international publishing, managing publishing operations at Longman, Dorling Kindersley and Hachette.
It was this experience, setting up and growing a lean startup, that spurred Stephen to share his inbound and content marketing success with small business owners and fellow entrepreneurs.

Stephen’s mission is to provide small business owners and managers with a cost-effective marketing for the digital age. Through his training, speaking, master classes, writing and 1:1 support, Stephen gives small business owners and managers the digital marketing tools to become better digital marketers and to grow their audiences and businesses online.
In his free time, Stephen climbs, snowboards, and paints. He is married with 3 children, and spends time on Dartmoor and in the Pyrenees.
